Who doesn't like kick ass battle scarred robots with guns? This is very well done. A nice mix of detail and tones. I also like the subtle hint of flowers in the design which helps contrast thematically with the killing machine. I am almost wishing for the background directly behind the figure to be toned back a hair so it doesn't match so much with the overall tone of the robot. Great drawing! RICK

Thanks a lot Rick, I appreciate your comments. I did have the background slightly lighter but honestly it didn't work so well as you'd think. It looked more framed against rather than part of the background. It was just me messing about with stuff to see what I came up with, no prior thought and I gave up and left it after a while and that's what was left. originally it was just a B&W ink picture. I could put it up in scraps for you to see if you'd like.

I love seeing working in progress but only post what you feel like you have time for. I don't think I was suggesting that the Robot piece was lacking. I think it is great as is but if I had to make an adjustment... I see your point about the "framed" rather than "part of" effect. Drawing robots has been in my blood since I was a kid. The only difference is that now, I make the accompanying noises less loud. RICK
